JR's New 'I am a Man' Print Honors Martin Luther King Jr.'s Final March
Limited to 180 pieces.

Globally-celebrated artist JR returns with a new limited edition print titled Unframed, I am a Man, Washington DC, USA, 2012. The artwork honors the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s last march during the 1968 Memphis sanitation strike before his assassination. The visual itself features JR’s wheatpaste artwork back in October 2012, inspired by the iconic photograph captured by late civil-rights photographer, Ernest Withers.
The lithograph print is a signed and numbered edition of 180, measuring approximately 36 by 47 centimeters with 11 colors printed using a Marinoni machine. View the print above and purchase it now on Social Animals’ official website for about $1,045 USD each. The artist recently sat down for an interview with Great Big Story to discuss the process behind his celebrated “Inside Out” project.
