Mark Jenkins Installs "84 Men" on Rooftop for Suicide Prevention

Located in London.

American artist Mark Jenkins is known for his sculptural street installations that feature human-like figures posing in provocative angles. Most of his installations, normally located in bustling city streets, have ignited calls to the police from passersby. Jenkins’ latest public piece titled “Project 84” may be his most arresting one yet.

Made in collaboration with the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), the installation features 84 man-like figures staged at the edge of London’s ITV buildings. The project aims to raise awareness for suicide prevention especially in the UK where 84 men commit suicide every week, as per Arrested Motion. For the installation, Jenkins worked alongside the families and friends of men who committed suicide.

“Project 84” is currently on view up until April 1. Head over to CALM’s official website to learn more about the campaign and view more installations in Mark Jenkins’ online portfolio.
