A Look Inside KAWS' "ACTIVITY TRAP" Exhibit at Galerie Perrotin Tokyo

Featuring Takashi Murakami, Hajime Sorayama, and more artist attendees.

Last Thursday, KAWS opened his new “ACTIVITY TRAP” exhibit at Galerie Perrotin‘s Tokyo, Japan location. The show features large-scale paintings that portray the Brooklyn-based artist’s signature cast of reimagined pop culture characters such as a Snoopy airplane-shaped piece. Collectively, KAWS delves into more abstract compositions yet retains his ubiquitous palette of bold colors.

View photos of the show’s opening reception above. High-profile artists such as Takashi Murakami, Haroshi, Hajime Sorayama alongside gallery owner Emmanuel Perrotin make appearances in the slideshow as well. “ACTIVITY TRAP” is on view up until May 12.

KAWS recently launched another exhibit at Galerie Perrotin’s Hong Kong location. Stay tuned for an official look at the show.
