Japanese artist Hikari Shimoda is known for her dreamy artwork that culls inspiration from popular manga and anime — touting a vibrant palette of galactic-eyed characters dressed as otherworldly superheroes. Shimoda recently joined forces with the Asian art institution, APPortfolio, to create a three-dimensional figurine entitled Child of This Planet. The collectible art object depicts a little boy with translucent horns while wearing a T-shirt embellished with a star on the front portion. It took Shimoda approximately four months to produce the artwork.

Child of this Planet will be released at this year’s INNERSECT music festival at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre on October 16. Only 300 units will be made available for purchase at an approximate price of $404 USD each. Head over to Shimoda’s official website to learn more.
