Ben Buchanan to Showcase Unseen Warhol, Basquiat & Haring Photographs
At the Peter Harrington gallery in London.

British artist Ben Buchanan is famed for capturing high-profile artists in and out of their element. Working as a photographer at NYC’s Area nightclub in the ’70s, Buchanan had the incredible opportunity to snap visuals of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol as well as Keith Haring. To commemorate his creative legacy, the Peter Harrington gallery in London is set to showcase never-before-seen images of the renowned pop artists.
“They were always creating something, even when they were relaxing,” said Buchanan to It’s Nice That.” At a meal for the assembled artists, there was a sketchbook being passed around – Jean-Michel [Basquiat] drew a portrait of Playboy contributing illustrator Leroy Neiman – Andy [Warhol] tipped out a bowl of snow peas onto his page, crushed them in, and signed it.”
The photography exhibit will commence on October 3. Find the address to the gallery below and head over to Ben Buchanan’s official website to view more projects.
