teamLAB Unveils Water-Themed Installation

Based on Japan’s Naruto whirlpools.

Japanese art collective teamLAB has unveiled its latest installation, with the group producing another large scale interactive piece. Titled “Moving Creates Vortices and Vortices Create Movement,” the installation is designed to appear like the Naruto whirlpools in the straits between two Japanese islands and is influenced by the ability of humans to change nature.

The installation itself sees a mirrored room which reflects a series of whirlpools made from lights on the floor. teamLAB’s “Moving Creates Vortices and Vortices Create Movement” exhibition will run as part of the National Gallery of Victoria Triennial in Melbourne Australia alongside work from 100 other artists until April 15 2018.
