A Look Inside Rick Owens's "SUBHUMAN INHUMAN SUPERHUMAN" Retrospective

At Milan’s Triennale Di Milano.

Rick Owens recently launched his “SUBHUMAN INHUMAN SUPERHUMAN” retrospective located at the Triennale Di Milano in Milan, Italy. Centering upon the theme of “the standards of beauty,” the showcase highlights archival furniture, film, a large-scale installation as well as other objects culled from the Paris-based designer’s extensive portfolio.

The sculptural installation is mounted on the ceiling and is made up of concrete lily blossoms. Additional artworks include sand of the Adriatic Sea of Italy, the hair of Rick Owens and pieces made in collaboration with artists Alessandro Manzoni, Pierre Molinier, Marcel Duchamp and more.

The exhibit is currently open to the public until March 25, 2018 at Triennale di Milano. Take a look inside “SUBHUMAN INHUMAN SUPERHUMAN” and let us know your thoughts.
