Banksy's Polarizing 'Alternativity' Play Will Be Screened on BBC Two
“A challenging and provocative” version of the original nativity story said BBC Two controller Patrick Holland.

Earlier this month, Banksy staged his controversial “Alternativity” play at the car park of his Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem. According to BBC, the entire event was recorded for a special BBC Two documentary. The launch of the play coincided with the elusive artist’s unveiling of two new pieces on the Israeli West Bank Barrier that touches upon the birth of Jesus Christ.
In a similar vein to the artworks, the upcoming show will be “a challenging and provocative” version of the original nativity story, expressed BBC Two controller Patrick Holland. “It promises to be a challenging and provocative exploration of a story that speaks to young and old alike.”
“The Alternativity” by Banksy made in collaboration with director Danny Boyle is set to premiere on December 17 on BBC Two at 9 p.m. GMT.
