This Ex-Convict Makes a Living From Painting With Skittles
He also uses brushes made of his own hair.
Human creativity knows no bounds, as this latest video production from Huck magazine underlines. The video interviews Newcastle-upon-Tyne native Chris Wilson who, during a protracted stint in San Quentin State Prison in California found his calling in painting after delving into philosophy. However, given the restrictions on materials that could be brought into prison, Wilson had to rely on thinking out-of-the-box to create his own painting supplies, using Skittles as his paint and making brushes from his own hair attached to the handle of a spoon. Even after his release, these eccentric materials have since become his signature. Watch him discuss his artistic journey in the video above, and head here for unconventional painting of another sort.
