Jeff Koons Artwork to Face Michelangelo's 'David' in Florence

Pluto and Proserpina is going head-to-head with a masterpiece.

Jeff Koons’ 11-foot gold stainless steel artwork, Pluto and Proserpina, is set to face off against Michelangelo’s iconic David statue in Florence later this month. The American artist’s 2010 work, as part of the Biennale Internazionale dell’Antiquariato, will be placed in the Italian city’s famous  Piazza della Signoria from 25 of September until the 28 December, casting it among some esteemed company.
