In just three short years, Chicago-based photographer trashhand has transformed his interests as an Instagram shutterbug to a full-fledged career as a photographer. Collaborating with those in fashion, lifestyle and design, his architecturally-driven photos have donned the portfolios of Nike, Justin Maller, and COLDSMOKE alongside streetwear labels like Raised by Wolves, Publish and Akomplice. His latest venture sees him teaming up with learning platform Skillshare on a new online class. Titled “Cityscape Photography: Capture Your City’s Story,” the one-hour, self-paced class takes students on a journey through his hometown of Chicago, as he shares his insights and techniques in street photography. From scouting and shooting to editing, students will garner a greater understanding of photography and the creative process behind snapping with your smartphone.
