Illustrator Clemens Habicht Designs a 1,000-Piece CMYK Color Gamut Jigsaw Puzzle

In a concerted exercise of masochism, German illustrator Clemens Habicht has turned the CMYK color gamut into a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle, appropriately titled “1000 Colors.” Initially struck by the satisfaction he derived from assembling a piece of featureless blue sky in a particularly difficult puzzle, Habicht decided to create the CYMK puzzle to expand upon that dependency on having to piece together the puzzle based on an intuitive sense of color. “There is a real logic in the doing that is weirdly soothing, therapeutic, it must be the German coming out in me. As each piece clicks perfectly into place, just so, it’s a little win, like a little pat on the back” says Habicht.
