Ferrari's California T Receives a UV Paint Job

Swiss artist Fabian Oefner has collaborated with Ferrari to realize the high-speed and powerful performance of the 2015 Ferrari California T model. He travelled to the Ferrari headquarters in Maranello, Italy to try to reveal the sensation of speed through form, and to relay emotion into a physical art piece. Oefner decided to use neon paint to convey the way velocity worked. By simultaneously blowing 150 mph wind and spraying glow-in-the-dark paint towards the car, he was able to capture the sense of acceleration, while the car remained parked. The resulting streaks of neon embody the extreme pace at which the car moves. Check out the video below to see the entire process and head over to Fabian’s website to see more of his projects.
