From the Renaissance through the Romantic age, the end goal of many master painters was often to transport the audience into a realm of imagination. Equal parts fiction and reality, the masters sought to create planes as – if not more – beautiful than the original locations or situations. Riffing off of this idea, Italian artist Rino Stefano Tagliafierro created a short film, “Beauty” – a series of vignettes that recreates static portraits as live, moving pieces. The addition of music and movement through digital manipulation adds a previously unseen dimension to the art experience. Enjoy the above.
