This August 29 will mark the awards ceremony for the 2013 edition of Red Bull Illume Image Quest, a contest in which one grand prize winner will emerge out of 28,257 images voted by 50 international judges. As that date approaches, the event has released a small video series featuring some of those involved in the event, titled Perpectives.

In this first episode, Think Silly‘s TK, also founder/editor-in-chief of Milk/Obscura Magazine and the upcoming Blackbird Magazine, offers us some of his unique perspectives on photography and Illume drawing from his extensive experience.

If you particularly enjoyed this episode, stay tuned for the two more on their way, where we’ll see perspectives of both an athlete and photographer involved with the event.
