Gogy Esparza is a multidisciplinary artist, creating work that is heavily concerned with progressive technology, contrasting a fear of machines with a deep human empathy. His unique approach to photo and video can really only exist right now, which makes it specific and urgent. Given his highly successful El Vacio project last year, Esparza now releases “VANILLA,” his latest work. Shot in black and white, the artist expands on his themes of confusion and haze through the juxtaposition of various imagery. The show will open February 16 at Soto Gallery in Berlin, and run through March 1. The opening ceremony will also feature signed copies of the VANILLA book.
