French graffiti artist André Saraiva directs this short film as an addition to his well-received Love Graffiti series. His earlier project for the Art Basel fair in Basel, Switzerland involved calling on his social media followers to share names and stories of loved ones, from which he would choose a winner based on the emotional impact they had on him. Though taking second place to “LOLA,” the film shown here, “Love Henrietta,” is special in its own right with its sublime images of a disaffected young girl interspersed with night shots of the artist at work. As to where the inspiration came from, Henrietta is none other than the name of Saraiva’s daughter.
