A common conceit of artists is that they think themselves somewhat ahead of the curve, existing just below the radar of pop culture, capturing moments in every day life that another person might take for granted. For good artists, this conceit is certainly warranted. Heel Bruise teamed up with Stussy for a pop-up (albeit impromptu) photo exhibition featuring the work of various skate-connected photographers such as Isaac McKay-Randozzi, Joe Brook and even HUF‘s own Keith Hufnagel. Like the creatives who produced the work itself, the title of the exhibition refers to the necessarily ‘outsider’ nature of the photographs. In addition to the exhibition, the collaboration will also bear fruit in the form of a limited edition tee and skatedeck. The show will be held at Atlas in San Mateo, California on January 26 beginning at 7 p.m.
