Sylvain Willenz CIRVA Glassworks at Victor Hunt
While glasswork has long been a celebrated form of art, the latest works from Sylvain Willenz

While glasswork has long been a celebrated form of art, the latest works from Sylvain Willenz effectively add a new twist to the age-old technique. Created for Victor Hunt Designart Dealer, the first and most predominant elements from the collection are showcased in the form of the “Spot” Lighting series of glass orbs. The traditional circular pieces are infused with colorful glass splinters which add a pop of chromatic hues to each design. Elsewhere, the “Shift” Glass Tables, are crafted using a new technique which builds the shape from a singular piece of glass and in a single operation. The beauty of the collection is perhaps best encapsulated in the design duality of the pieces — both the fabrication techniques and the end aesthetic has been carefully curated and organized so as to create a truly one-of-a-kind and cohesive product.
