The latest installment of THE AVANT/GARDE DIARIES presents artist David LaChapelle and art curator/dealer Reiner Opoku in a piece titled “Reinventing Yourself.” Opoku reckons that the ability to reinvent and reposition yourself is what makes one an avant-garde artist. LaChapelle has definitely managed to do that by redefining his signature style, turning from previously loud portraits of pop culture icons to fine art and flower paintings after his organic farm hiatus in Hawaii.
