Mark Jenkins: Go Figure!

Washington, DC artist Mark Jenkins is set to take his signature tape sculptures and urban art

Washington, DC artist Mark Jenkins is set to take his signature tape sculptures and urban art installations indoors with his first solo exhibition this month. Dubbed “Glazed Paradise,” the show will take place at Berlin’s Gestalten Space and feature a number of new works created specifically for the event. Additionally, photography of some of Jenkins’ most iconic work will be on display, depicting the influence of his installations on their unsuspecting environment. To coincide with the Berlin exhibition, the geologist-turned-artist will be releasing his first monograph, Mark Jenkins: The Uran Theatre, of which signed copies will be available at the show and via shop.gestalten.com. “Glazed Paradise” opens at Gestalten Space on January 19.
