The PERSEVERANCE art event at LA’s Known Gallery was truly a sight to behold. Featuring original work from alliterative masterminds Revok, Rime and Roids, the show featured flavor drawn from the City of Angels, Jersey and London. Despite the around the globe appeal, a seemingly desolate city served as the backdrop for much of the art work that was created. Marking Detroit as base camp, the city served as a Barry Gordy-esque background as these accomplished artists (note not “street artists”) drew inspiration from the crumbling city to give an added meaning to the word “perseverance.” Follow Rime and Roid, and filmmaker Noah Banks, as they get up in the Motor City before making their way across their country to Los Angeles.
