Since his introduction on the scene back in the early ’80s, Tony Ward has become known for his work as a model and muse to everyone from Karl Lagerfeld and Terry Richardson to Herb Ritts, Steven Meisel and even Madonna. A new exhibition entitled “Ward of the State: Tony Ward, Artists’ Muse” highlights Ward’s impact on the careers of different artists over the years by showing a diverse collection of images inspired by him. Featuring artwork by Bruce Weber, Herb Ritts, RETNA, Steven Klein and more, the exhibition demonstrates how each artist defines Ward and his role as a visual icon. Currently on display at Rivera & Rivera, the exhibition is scheduled to last until June 20.
