Singaporean design studio Hans Tan Studio has developed Spotted Nyonya, an industrial reinterpretation of the nyonya porcelain vessels which are traditional domestic wares native to Chinese-peranakans in South Asia. In collaboration with FARM, the vessels boast a dotted pattern and use a resist-dyeing technique that is often applied to dye fabric patterns. The finished product is a tranquil and functional piece of work. The sheer time and effort that goes into these pieces is a work of art in and of itself.
