In a powerful union of creativity and philanthropy, the Nigel Sylvester Foundation has partnered with the digital auction platform JOOPITER for the “Pedal Forward” Artist Bike Auction. The initiative, which features four exclusive, artist-painted bicycles, is designed to support the foundation’s mission of empowering young people through cycling. All proceeds will directly benefit the “Switching Gears” program, which aims to address the growing youth mental health crisis.

The auction offers a rare opportunity to acquire a unique piece of functional art while supporting a meaningful cause. Each bike is a collaborative masterpiece, blending the artistic vision of renowned artists with a shared commitment to community. The roster of participating artists includes Mcflyy, Chelsea B, Sue Tsai and Futura, whose distinct styles have been applied to the one-of-a-kind bicycles. The bikes will be on display at Pharrell WilliamsBillionaire Boys Club flagship store in SoHo during the online auction.

The Nigel Sylvester Foundation, established in 2021, launched the “Switching Gears” program in 2023. The six-week program teaches students the fundamentals of biking while emphasizing the mental and physical health benefits of cycling. As Nigel Sylvester explained, “Each bike represents a unique journey, and we are so grateful to the artists who contributed their talent to this cause. Their support will allow us to continue providing young people with the tools to navigate life’s challenges and discover the power of the bike.” The auction is running now until September 25th on JOOPITER.
