teamLab Planets TOKYO is set to expand, unveiling a host of immersive additions designed to blend art, education and physical interaction. Located in Toyosu, Tokyo, the exhibition space will increase by 1.5 times, introducing three main attractions: the “Athletic Forest,” “Catching and Collecting Extinct Forest” and “Future Park.” These spaces will host over 10 new interactive art installations, creating a multisensory experience for visitors of all ages.

The “Athletic Forest” is a dynamic and creative space that encourages visitors to perceive the world through movement and physical engagement. Highlights include installations like “Rapidly Rotating Bouncing Spheres” and “Aerial Climbing” through a “Flock of Colored Birds,” where participants navigate multidimensional spaces designed to enhance spatial awareness and creativity.

The “Catching and Collecting Extinct Forest” offers a unique educational experience. Visitors use a smartphone app to find and collect digital versions of extinct animals, blending technology with exploration and raising awareness about biodiversity and extinction.

In the “Future Park,” collaboration takes center stage. Visitors can work together to create living artworks, such as “Sketch Umwelt World,” where drawings come to life as 3D animations or A “Table Where Little People Live,” where physical objects interact with a virtual world of animated characters.

To make the experience even more personal, the “Sketch Factory” will let visitors turn their creations into custom keepsakes like T-shirts, tote bags or paper crafts. The outdoor areas of the exhibition will also be refreshed, offering new spaces to explore and enjoy.

Tickets for visits through February are available now on teanLab’s official website.
