Yoko Ono Invites Imagination in Two New Limited-Edition Prints

Created in collaboration with JRP Editions.

Yoko Ono has teamed up with JRP Editions to release two limited edition letterpress prints in celebration of EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE is UNFINISHED, her newly printed artist book. Each piece offers a distilled yet fresh reimagination of her past work, shining a light on themes of unity, peace, and love. Both prints make conceptual references to Nutopia, an imaginary country created by Ono and John Lennon in 1973, as they reach towards universal hope.

For i ii iii Stamp, Ono calls on her 2004 video piece “ONOCHORD” where she invited audiences to send a message through a unique “love code” of light flashes: “I (i) Love (ii) You (iii).” Meanwhile, Add color where the world needs peace encourages participants to do just that. In a marriage of her collaborative Add Color installations and participatory Map Piece poems, the print highlights the instructional joy of the artist’s work, grounded in ideas of reflection, collective action, and creative world-building.

i ii iii Stamp is limited to an edition of 300 and is accompanied by a copy of Ono’s newly printed artist book. Measured at 5.5 x 5.5 inches, the print is created through blind faux perforation on Crane’s Lettra Fluorescent White 104 lb. paper for $206 USD. Add color where the world needs peace comes with a set of colored pencils and is limited to an edition of 250. Produced on Crane’s Lettra Fluorescent White 110 lb. paper, the print sizes at 18.1 x 24 inches for $483. For collectors looking to purchase, both prints will come with a certificate authenticated with the artist’s inkan.
