Lucas Zanotto’s Snowmen Transform Central Embassy into a Winter Wonderland

With a 45-foot-tall Christmas tree the centerpiece of the installation.

Bangkok’s Central Embassy has unveiled a mesmerizing display of art and festivity with the debut of Lucas Zanotto’s playful snowmen installations, marking the first time his work has been showcased in Southeast Asia. Themed CENTRAL EMBASSY LET’S CELEBRATE 2025: VERY WARM WISHES, the event runs until January 5, 2025, inviting visitors to experience a fusion of art, architecture and the holiday spirit.

Zanotto, a renowned Italian designer and animator, has crafted an enchanting installation featuring whimsical snowmen that artfully reflect the interplay between Bangkok’s tropical warmth and the fragility of nature. The highlighted 14-meter-tall (45 ft) Christmas tree stands as a beacon of festive joy at the FROSTY CHRISTMAS YARD on Level G.

The installations extend throughout the mall, with standout features like the GIANT SNOW CUBE at OPEN HOUSE on Level 6 and the WARM WISHES TUNNEL, connecting to Central Chidlom. The SNOW TROOP interactive installation invites visitors to “adopt” adorable snowmen, with proceeds supporting the WWF Foundation’s environmental efforts.

Complementing the art is a vibrant holiday experience, including the MELTING VILLAGE MARKET, curated with eco-friendly gifts, creative workshops and a photo booth featuring limited-edition designs by Zanotto. Visitors can also enjoy live performances and rooftop festivities at the HOLIDAY IN THE SKY FESTIVAL.

Central Embassy’s celebration aligns with the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s vision of making Thailand a global festive and cultural destination. With Zanotto’s installations as the centerpiece, the event promises a unique blend of creativity and warmth, redefining holiday traditions in Bangkok.
