Slam Jam and IUAV Relaunch Its Masters Degree on Street Culture and Fashion Design

The one-year program covers everything from sportswear, urbanwear, textile design and more.

Slam Jam has made it a mission to include educational programs as a foundation to complement its sartorial offerings. Over the past few years, the Milan-based store worked with Parisian creative force ILL-STUDIO on an ambitious program called ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER PROSTHETIC MEMORY PROGRAM (ADDPMP). Having toured in a number of locations across Europe, the initiative aimed to allow both its creators and onlookers to understand the images and thoughts that constantly race through through our minds.

To further its academic reach, Slam Jam and the Università Iuav di Venezia (IUAV) are back to offer the second installment in its Masters of Arts degree on Street Culture and Fashion Design. First launched in 2022, the one-year program recognizes the impact that streetwear has had in the cultivation of identity since its early beginnings in the 1980s to the present. The curriculum includes courses on sportswear and urbanwear, textile design and new materials, as well as “publishing for fashion and visual culture,” according to a past release.

To enroll, please visit IUAV’s website.
