LISTERINE®, in partnership with Compound, a Black-founded and owned creative agency that celebrates and elevates Black culture, is introducing The Whoa Collection, a collaboration designed to spark conversation, and most importantly, drive awareness and help close the diversity gap in dentistry within the Black community.

Through this alliance, LISTERINE is working to expand education and raise the standards of oral wellness in the U.S. by increasing Black representation within the dental field. While more than 12% of the nation’s population is Black, less than four percent (4%) of dentists identify as such. Bringing this initiative to life, the two partners have enlisted Grammy-award-winning producer Thundercat and West Philly native, self-taught, contemporary artist King Saladeen to craft art of varied and sensory-stimulating media, which is designed to inspire long-term support and ultimately improve representation.

Original contributions include a bold track that marries LISTERINE’s “Whoa” feeling with Thundercat’s unmistakable sound, as well as bright and bold bottle artwork created exclusively for LISTERINE by King Saladeen. A portion of proceeds from The Whoa Collection will be donated directly to Increasing Diversity in Dentistry (IDID), a growing non-profit that specializes in the development, mentorship and retention of Black dental professionals.
