Queen Latifah and Whoopi Goldberg Co-Curate Exhibit That Highlights 50 Iconic Photos in Hip-Hop

“Hip Hop at 50” will be simultaneously held in both Los Angeles and New York.

Queen Latifah and Whoopi Goldberg will co-curate a special exhibit celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.

The pair’s “Hip Hop at 50” will be simultaneously held at Morrison Hotel Gallery Sunset Marquis in Los Angeles and Morrison Hotel Gallery 116 Prince Street in New York City. The immersive exhibition will highlight 50 iconic photographs that “create a visual odyssey that captures the essence of Hip Hop’s evolution from its birth in the Bronx to its global prominence,” with each handpicked piece reflecting “the genre’s transformative power and its impact on society, making this exhibition an ode to the resilience and creativity of the Hip Hop community.”

The photographs will feature the work of renowned photographers such as Danny Clinch, Timothy White, and Lynn Goldsmith, Josh Cheuse, Mike Miller, Jonathan Mannion and more, with subjects such as Run-DMC, Snoop Dogg, Tupac, Dr. Dre, Notorious B.I.G., Beastie Boys, Jay-Z, Eminem and Wu-Tang Clan to name a few.

“Hip Hop at 50” will be on display at Morrison Hotel Gallery Los Angeles and New York City from August 10 until August 24.
