Laugh With Anthony Burrill, Eike König and More in New Exhibition Called "SHOUT"

Housed in a former coal mine.

C-mine is a former coal mine in Genk, Belgium that ran from 1901 to 1988. Since it stopped production, it has since been transformed into an industrial museum and cultural center that plays hosts to some of the world’s leading artists and designers. From July to September, the facility presents a new exhibition titled “SHOUT,” featuring the likes of Anthony Burrill, Eike König, Marco Oggian, James Joyce and Morag Myerscough in all their vibrancy, humor and sarcasm.

Walk through the corridors made of original factory windows, concrete and brick walls, to find colorful and bold artworks that amuse and challenge the viewer — works such as Burrill’s typographic musings, or König, who recurrently designs for Nike. The exhibition design and curation was done by Daan Linsen and Debora Lauwers of Alley Design Studio, while Soda Studio undertook the tower design for Anthony Burrill.

“SHOUT” runs from July 3 to September 2021.
