Watch Centre Pompidou's Francis Bacon Retrospective in 100 Seconds

“Bacon in Full” is live until January 20, 2020.

Centre Pompidou‘s retrospective of Francis Bacon‘s work, dubbed “Bacon in Full,” has been captured in 100 seconds by Beaux Arts Magazine.

“Bacon in Full” is comprised of ten imposing triptychs produced between 1968 and 1991, spotlighting pieces such as Oedipus and the Sphinx after Ingres (1983) and interpretations of the artist’s late lover George Dyer. Works including Portrait of George Dyer in a Mirror (1968) capture Bacon at his peak, showcasing his skill of double portraiture that is violent and mangled, but when the reflection and physical portrait are combined, bring Dyer’s entire face together as one.

For those unable to experience the exhibition for themselves, Beaux Arts Magazine has captured it in 100 seconds on film. It details the works on show that are gathered from private and public collections, and can be watched above. “Bacon in Full” at Centre Pompidou is on until January 20, 2020 and tickets for the exhibition can be purchased online.

Elsewhere in the art world, HYPEBEAST recently visited the realist artist Jason Yarmosky.
