Jonah Freeman & Justin Lowe Present Alternate Environments in Immersive London Installation
As part of a multi-room showcase called ‘Colony Sound’ in London’s Marlborough gallery.

London’s Marlborough gallery recently launched a multi-room immersive installation entitled ‘Colony Sound’ by artists Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe. The massive showcase features a total of eleven rooms ranging from a telecommunications retail outlet to a half-incinerated recording studio. One of the more eye-catching spaces is a drop-out lounge made entirely out of homemade ceramics. “In this exhibition, Jonah Freeman & Justin Lowe riff on the historical narratives surrounding The Smile to create a sprawling architectural intervention that oscillates between the habitats of the counterculture and the sites of technological invention,” said the gallery in a statement.
Tour ‘Colony Sound’ above and then visit Marlborough’s website for further details. The installation is on view until October 19.
In other sprawling presentations, take a look inside the “Tokyo Pop Underground” exhibition hosted by NANZUKA at Jeffrey Deitch’s New York City spaces.
