London’s Simon Lee Gallery, renowned for its presentation of conceptual and explorative artwork, is now exhibiting “Metal,” a showcase of metal sculptures produced between 1968 and 1990 by Richard Serra, Bruce Nauman, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Carl Andre, Giovanni Anselmo, and Luciano Fabro.

Highlights include Carl Andre’s 18 Aluminum Row (1968), allowing visitors to fully integrate themselves with the raw nature of the metalwork, walking upon the surface making for a physical experience from artist to audience. Bruce Nauman’s Triangle (1977-1980) further explores the difficult nature of metalwork in life as a triangle barricades spectators into its framework. Numan said in a press release, “I find triangles really uncomfortable, disconcerting kinds of spaces… there is no comfortable space to stay inside them or outside them.”

The “Metal” exhibition is open from January 17 until February 23.
