Harumi Yamaguchi & YOSHIROTTEN Collaborate on Airbrushed Female Figures

As part of a Tokyo exhibit entitled, “Harumi’s Summer.”

Celebrated Japanese artists Harumi Yamaguchi and YOSHIROTTEN are getting ready to launch a collaborative show at the Ginza Graphic Gallery (ggg) in Tokyo, Japan. Entitled “Harumi’s Summer,” the partnered showcase will display Yamaguchi’s signature airbrush illustrations of female figures for retailer PARCO alongside archival pieces that have all been “trimmed and reconfigured from YOSHIROTTEN’s unique perspective,” as per a statement. Yamaguchi initially studied oil painting, but emerged in the 1970s for her airbrush works that evoke female equality.

“Harumi’s Summer” will launch at ggg starting July 6 up until August 25 at the DNP Ginza Building. Head over to the show’s official page to learn more. In other art news, JR will soon launch his new “Horizontal” exhibit at Galerie Perrotin NYC.
