Daniel Arsham Shares New Artwork Featuring Bugs Bunny

Titled “Reverse Engineered Archeology.”

Artist Daniel Arsham has revealed new artwork today, this time centering around childhood favorite character Bugs Bunny.

On his official Instagram account, Arsham reveals two pencil sketch versions of the timeless cartoon rabbit, with one frame in tact and the other in a deconstructed “archeology”-esque condition. The post is captioned “%Reverse Engineered Archeology%,” in similar form to his previous work as exhibited on busts of Marcus Aurelius and his Future Relic series of found objects. While Bugs Bunny retains his shape, his limbs falling apart add stark contrast to the character’s familiar cuteness.

Is this a preview of new pieces, or just some artwork to start the new year off? Stay tuned and learn what Daniel Arsham has been up with actor Mahershala Ali.
