Vivid National Geographic Images Show Visual Impact of Global Warming

Stunning shots of environmental decline.

Charged with capturing the worldwide effects of global warming, National Geographic‘s online photo community — called Your Shot — has turned in a visually arresting set of images from communities across the globe. Using smart phones and point-and-shoot devices, the network of photographers captured images from as far afield as Tanzania, Nepal and the U.S. to document the environmental impact of rising temperatures, including everything from factory smog to flooding, some of which were put on display at the United Nations climate negotiations in Marrakech, Morocco, earlier this month.
