Saber and Zes of The Seventh Letter/MSK Paint a New Mural in Downtown LA

Celebrating the legacy of graffiti in LA’s “Arts District.”

Legendary graffiti artists Saber and Zes, both affiliates of The Seventh Letter and MSK, have painted a new mural in Downtown Los Angeles. With LA’s “Arts District” long known as the epicenter for the arts and art commerce, the video opens with the two artists reminiscing about tagging in the neighborhood during their early years. The new mural is meant to represent the legacy of graffiti over the last 20 years and is a gesture that pays homage to today’s burgeoning artists. Spanning over the entire distance of a building edifice, the final artwork is an intricately layered masterpiece that plays with dimensionality. You can watch the full video above and see the entire process involved in creating the piece.
