Fred Mortagne Shoots LA Skateboarders With the New Leica SL

Showcasing the camera’s all-new 4K capability.

Professional photographer Fred Mortagne has been commissioned by Leica to give its newest creation, the Leica SL Typ 601, a test-drive to try out the new functions of the digital mirrorless compact. Using LA skateboarders as his subjects, Fred masterfully showcases the SL’s shooting abilities in both photo and video (some of which at 4K resolution but unfortunately downconverted), while composing and producing gorgeous views in the above video clip shot entirely on a Leica SL. The company has also provided a method to see the cameras results, in .DNG raw format at full-resolution, over at its official “proof of performance” download page to fully examine what the Typ 601 can do.
