The James Hedges Collection of photographs feature a number of still lives, nudes and headshots of 1970s and 1980s fashion elite as photographed by Andy Warhol. Gathered over the last decade, the exhibition will open to the public in London’s Mayfair neighborhood next week — revealing images that have been rarely viewed since the artist’s death — and marking one of only a few occasions where the full gamut of his personal Polaroid snapshots are shown. Interview Editor-at-Large Christopher Bollen commented on the exhibition and works by saying that Warhol “knew that a camera could celebrate the famous and also preserve the simple, silent corners of the world where a real interaction could be made.” The Andy Warhol photography from the James Hedges Collection runs from February 11-March 1 at Privatus, London.
