Known for his intricate wall carvings, Portuguese artist Alexandre Farto, aka Vhils, recently completed a brand new large-scale work at Portugal Telecomm’s newly-opened Covilhã data center. Dubbed Contraste, the insanely intricate cork-based piece highlights man’s relationship to the world and, as Arrested Motion noted, mankind’s ability to “create materials that are not only economically prosperous, but also sustainable for future generations.”
