Mass Appeal has teamed up with Red Bull Studios New York in presenting “Write of Passage,” a six-week series exploring American graffiti culture and its impact on the globe. Curated by Sacha Jenkins, the series will host workshops, screenings and exhibitions, unveiling an intricate timeline of the culture and those involved. Influential figures such as Cost, Daze, KR, Jonathan Levine and Greg “SP” Lamarche will participate, offering interaction between students and the graffiti legends. “Write of Passage” has also partnered with NYC at-risk youth organizations such as “Art Start NYC” and institutions like Parsons, helping to provide clarity to a new generation on the global culture.
