The latest edition of Vans‘s Pass the Bucket features transcendent 17-year-old singer-songwriter Tess Dunn. Having been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, the Santa Cruz native has faced the progressive lung damage, epilepsy and diabetes brought about by the incurable disease head-on. Describing the disease as “…almost like having a clock ticking over your head,” Dunn’s fight and perspective are illustrated through her signing and piano-playing as she encourages others to live life to the fullest and without fear.
