REBUS, a new monograph by artist James Jean, features original sketches and selected works from Jean’s studio. The REBUS book launch at LACMA will include appearances by James and Giant Robot founder Eric Nakamura as they’ll speak to the audience on their shared histories, and discuss new practices for the future. A display of Jean’s original sketchbooks will be on view, while a limited edition silk scarf produced by the artist will be available for sale. The event is free but has limited seating so be sure to arrive early. To pre-order signed copies of REBUS, head over to the LACMA. REBUS opens August 28, 2011 at 4 p.m.
