The Vans DQM General "Pave The Way" Exhibition Recap
Skateboarding would not be where it is today if not for the photographers capturing beautifully

Skateboarding would not be where it is today if not for the photographers capturing beautifully curated stills of the self-expressing art form and then displaying them in magazines around the world, pulling young outsiders towards the challenging yet accepting sport. The Vans DQM General, the recently opened SoHo boutique, opened its “Pave The Way” photo show this past Thursday, paying homage to many of those early photographers including Mofo, Stecyk and Lance Dawes, to name but a few. Taking us back to a time before million dollar endorsements and skater sitcoms, the exhibiting stills – featuring some of the most iconic shots throughout the history of skateboarding – will be on display through January 4, 2012.
