In a recently released video from The Standard Hotel, in conjunction with the Parlá brothers, we get a creative look into José Parlá’s “Character Gestures” exhibition that took place at the OHWOW Gallery in Los Angeles in September. The short film serves a documentation of a successful event, with pieces of artwork that boasted Parlá’s signature style of chaos and tranquility. Although each work often focuses on one color as the backdrop, on closer look it’s easy to notice how multi-layered each painting truly is. Check it out.
