On the corner of Washington and Gansevoort street, Barbara Kruger at 820 Washington Street

On the corner of Washington and Gansevoort street, Barbara Kruger at 820 Washington Street displays her newest commissioned work for the “Whitney On Site” series at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Bold statements and words in vinyl are exhibited on the pavement and on top of buildings so that one with an aerial view can see the full setup. Much of the concept of this commissioned work reveals Kruger’s personality and also givens an answer to the conversion of artistic avenues across an area in NYC that was primarily known for meatpacking. Whitney On Site will be on display to the public until October 17th.
