The Bicycle Portraits was conceived earlier this year by Stan Engelbrecht of Cape Town and Nic Grobler of Johannesburg. The project captures South Africa’s vibrant bicycle culture. Also in doing so, the duo shed light and gain a better understanding of one’s own personal relations with their bicycles and what role the two wheel modes of transportation play into their every day life. The Bicycle Portraits is currently in the process of raising funds to publish a full length book with details here.
