KAWS to Release 'MONSTERS' Vinyl Figures

From the cereal box to the trophy shelf.

KAWS announced that his ultra-popular MONSTERS figures will be released as vinyl toys tomorrow. The news comes after several Instagram posts the Brooklyn-based artist teased last week showing the cereal-inspired cartoons he first drew for a collaboration with General Mills in 2022. Each box in that initial release came with a small plastic toy of the figure depicted, but tomorrow’s drop will see each fully realized in three-dimensional form.

Collaborations have been a core pillar to KAWS’ practice over the past decade, from his ongoing partnerships with AllRightsReserved and UNIQLO to Fortnite. The link up with General Mills was a special moment, however, as a group of the cereal brand’s most beloved characters, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, Franken Berry and Frute Brute, seamlessly took on KAWS’ signature artistic elements.

From the cereal box to the trophy shelf, KAWS: MONSTERS will release tomorrow, March 12 at 12pm ET, only on the artist’s website.
